OnSite Oil & Service LLC ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or book a service, and how we use it.

1. Who we are

OnSite Oil & Service LLC is a mobile vehicle maintenance business based in Williamsburg, IA. We're a one-operator outfit — Josh handles every booking personally.

2. What we collect

When you submit the booking form on this site, we receive:

• Your name
• Your phone number (required so we can schedule)
• Your email address (optional)
• Your vehicle's year, make, model, mileage, and VIN (the VIN helps us bring the correct oil, filter, and parts)
• The service address where you want the work done
• Your preferred service time
• Any notes or service descriptions you choose to add
• The list of services you've selected

When you simply visit the site, your browser sends standard server information (IP address, browser type, page visited). We currently do not use that for analytics or tracking.

3. How we use it

We use the information you provide only to:

• Contact you to confirm the appointment and ask any clarifying questions
• Bring the right parts, oil, and tools to your service address
• Keep a record of work performed on your vehicle to advise you on next service intervals
• Send optional service reminders (only if you ask us to)

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketing companies. The only situations where we'd share it:

• A subcontractor Josh hires to help with a specific service (rare; we'll tell you if this applies)
• Tax authorities or law enforcement if legally required

5. How long we keep it

We keep service records for two years after your last service. This supports warranty claims and lets us advise you on next service. After that, records are deleted or anonymized.

6. Your rights

At any time, you can ask us to:

• Send you a copy of the information we have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information from our records

7. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, so your booking submission is encrypted in transit. Customer records are stored in business email and a private business spreadsheet, both protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

If a data breach ever affects your information, we will notify you directly within 30 days.

8. Cookies and local storage

The booking form saves what you've typed to your browser's localStorage so you don't lose progress if you close the tab — that data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you submit the form.

We use privacy-respecting analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and anonymized interaction patterns) so we can improve it. These tools set their own cookies and may record aggregated session activity; your IP address is anonymized, and we never use them to collect payment details. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load analytics at all, and most ad/tracker blockers will block them without breaking the site.

Fonts and other page assets are served from our own domain — there is no third-party font CDN, so simply loading the site does not share your visit with an outside provider.

9. Children

OnSite Oil & Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated by email if you've previously booked with us.
